Happy Friday! Sign up for Etsy Newsletters!

I receive daily emails from Etsy which are mostly themed in some way, but I totally love them and suggest them for others.  It is something I look forward to everyday b/c the items are so unique.  Visit the Etsy Newsletter site to sign up for several different options, such as Etsy Finds, Etsy Weddings and Etsy Dudes!

I absolutely fell in love with this weeks Etsy Weddings e-mail titled "Miss Peony", Check it out! - And yes I apologize to the BF again for looking at wedding stuff :)

One of my favorite items is from a jewelry/accessory maker, sayagdis, out of the Netherlands.  Almost all of the peices are used creating vintage jewelry.  Recycled at its finest and I would love to own any of the pieces they make!  And for all of my friends getting married, great unique wedding pieces!

Happy Friday! "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi - A Great Upcycled Treasury

Took a break yesterday from blogging because I have a really great project to share next week that has really changed the direction of my bedspring wreaths.  Earlier this week I created a wonderful treasury on Etsy to featured other great shops that create using upcycled/recycled/repurposed materials.

The treasury list is titled: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi

In love with Red and Teal - An Etsy Treasury List

I really love red, our kitchen is red and our TV stand is red.  Teal is not normally a color that would be chosen to go with red, but I absolutely love this color combination featured in this Etsy Treasury List, Poppy Red and Aqua Wedding.  There is vintage classic but still fun feel to it.  Check it out!

♥ Art Deco Jewelry ♥

From the above title you can tell that I love Art Deco jewelry.  I think the pieces are classic and timeless, but also love that there is history that comes with them.  An antique Art Deco ring could have been someone's cherished wedding ring, how many hands wore this ring in the past?  I think I would rather have a beautiful piece of vintage jewelry versus a new one.  Who needs Kays!

Check out my Etsy Art Deco Love Treasury List for more great pieces.

Now for my own Art Deco jewelry, I purchased this ring setting:

Vintage deco ring 10K setting 1930s 40s

It was a risk and fortunately I didn't spend a lot b/c it is going to cost $160 to have it rebuilt by a local jewelry to hold a stone and fix the band.  Then I will have to find an old stone or purchase a new one for it.  Probably another expense for after Christmas, but I am excited to finally be able to wear it!
